This is the WAITLIST event for the Pictured Rocks Backpacking trip. Signing up for this event will put you on a waitlist in the event that someone who signed up for the actual event drops out. 

Trip Description:

This trip will be posted for sign-up at 9:30pm, Tuesday 9/20

**Pre-trip meeting 8pm, Tuesday 10/4**

We’ll be hiking a beautiful 19 mile stretch of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in the upper peninsula of Michigan. Get ready to experience gorgeous scenery, including majestic beaches and awe-inspiring cliffs! 

We will meet at 1:30pm on Friday, 10/7, so do not sign up for this trip until you have checked exam schedules! If you drop the trip, you will not be refunded unless someone takes your spot.

Itinerary

Day 1: Friday 10/7

• Meet at 1:30pm at Mendota Lodge, leave at 2:00pm

• Drive 6 hours to Sand Point Trailhead, arrive at 8pm

• Shuttle cars (1.5 hr) while others pack

• Hike 3.5 miles, arrive around 12am to Cliffs Group Campsite

Day 2: Saturday 10/8

• Hike 12.8 miles to Coves Group Campsite

Day 3: Sunday 10/9

• Hike 2.9 miles to Little Beaver Lake Trailhead

This trip will require a $60 deposit up front, and then participants will venmo Rose $10-15 for gas after the trip.
