Hoofer Scuba First Dive Fall 2019

Hoofer Scuba Club 2019 Executive Board first dive! Since we almost have a full executive board, let's get together and dive to start the semester. This would be 1 tank dive at Devil's Lake State Park. Dives will be followed by a potluck style picnic so bring some food to share.

Where: Devil's Lake State Park North Shore by the railroad.

When: Sunday, Sept 22, 2019, Meet at Memorial Union by 8am plan on leaving by 8:30

Equipment: 1 tank

Equipment pickup: Friday, Sept 20 at 3-4 PM at locker, leave equipment in locker to be picked up on Sunday morning. If you only need a tank than you are not required to come for this. If this time does not work but you would still like to participate, email scuba@hoofers.org to arrange a different time.

Transportation: personal cars, share gas cost/ entrance fee

Cost: $10 per tank, $5 for gear rentals 

Payment: online or at the front desk of OUW

Requirement: Hoofer Scuba exec member, Open Water certified or above, bring your C card to show leaders

Dive Planning: 

1. Everyone needs to attend dive briefing prior to diving, will be given at the site

2. Dive flag must be used as per state's law

3. NO solo dive

4. Start pressure 3000 PSI, turn around pressure 1800 PSI, end-of-dive pressure minimum 500 PSI

5. Dive will not exceed 60 ft depth
