Event Information

Description

Prerequisite: Hoofer Sailing Ground School.

The Intro to Sailing is the first lesson after Ground School and is a prerequisite for Tech A lessons and any Keelboat lessons. The purpose of this three-hour lesson is to get new club members on the water quickly to start the learning process and become acquainted with the basics of sailing before continuing lessons on other fleets.

Most of the lesson time may be spent on the water, and it's possible that you may get a bit wet, so please dress accordingly.  To get the most out of this class, please view this short youtube video prior to attending the class.

This lesson will meet in the Mendota Lounge across from Outdoor UW unless that room is otherwise occupied. If it is, then the lesson will meet under the yellow canopy.
