Devil's Lake Bike Touring

Want to get some more experience with bike touring? So do I! The weather is finally Spring-ish, which means it's biking season! (Actually, it's biking season year-round). Devil's Lake seems like a good distance for a ride, and it's a pretty neat place, so let's go there.

Friday: Leave in the morning. Maybe stop at the Norske Nook for lunch in DeForest. Bike about 50 miles. Take the Merrimac Ferry. Camp at Devil's Lake.

Sat: Hike around. Explore. Swim. Maybe check out Pewitt's Nest. Camp at Devil's Lake.

Sun: Bike back to Madison. Maybe stop by a funky sculpture garden. 45 miles. 

Hoofers has nice road bikes and racks and panniers we can use. You should be confident in your biking ability. Cost: $30 for food and campsite.
