Description

Winter is a great time for paddlers to dream about river trips to come. One incredible paddling trip is to run the Colorado through the Grand Canyon---226 miles of legendary big rapids, spectacular vistas, and magical side hikes. It is a river trip like no other. I will share my experiences and show photos from kayaking/rafting trips that I completed in 2012 and 2015. While these weren't official Hoofer trips, they featured a core group of present and past Hoofer members. I'll cover the options for taking a trip down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon whether you’re a seasoned river runner or have never dipped a paddle or oar. Come get inspired and learn how you can do this remarkable trip.

No need to sign up, although you're welcome to do so to give me an idea of how many people to expect. Location is the Mendota Lounge--same place as the regular HOC meeting.

We will begin this presentation after the regular HOC meeting---giving people time to clear out who aren't staying and also time to grab any food or beverage you'd like.
