Description

Hey all,

If you are interested in learning to the techniques for sport lead rock climbs: there's a free class on Sunday the 23rd at the Sett climbing wall, in the Union South. There are still open spots. This class will run 12pm -- 2pm. If you are interested in signing up, you can do that at the desk near the climbing wall. You can't sign up online.

To take the class, you should have the toprope test under your belt. You'll need to already be comfortable with toprope belaying, and know how to tie in to a rope with a figure-8 knot. Tube-type belay devices (such as ATC) are used. If you know these things well, but haven't taken the toprope test at the Sett climbing wall, the toprope test would be quick.

If you have any questions, ask me. I'll be one of the instructors.

Cheers,
Seth
