Conservation at the Arboretum!

Join us at the UW Madison Arboretum as we help remove invasive plants and maintain the beauty of this natural space. There’s no better way to release some pre-finals stress than by cutting down invasive shrubs!

When:

• Saturday December 7th from 8:45 am-12:00 pm

 What we’ll be doing:

• Prairie and Oak Savanna Restoration - clearing invasive shrubs and small trees from the Arboretum's Wingra Oak Savannah
• Work will take place off trail on uneven ground

Where to meet:

• Arbor Drive Parking Lot 
• Joshua and I will be driving, please meet at the Memorial Union Parking Circle no later than 8:45am if you would like a ride - please let me know if you will not be riding with us so we're not waiting at the Union for you!
• You also can get there by taking the D bus line to the Monroe and Chapman stop, than walk to Arbor drive where the gravel parking lot will be located (will be right across the street from the bus stop)

What to wear/bring:

• Dress in clothes that are okay to get a little dirty.
• Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required.
• Work takes place outdoors, please dress for the weather as it will be cold!
• Work gloves and tools will be provided.
• Please bring at least 1L of drinking water and snacks.
