Windsurfing End-of-Season Derigging Work Party

Help derig sails to keep them in good condition during the winter, as well as opening up space in the Lake Lab for winter kiting. No windsurfing experience is needed.

The goal of this work party is to derig nearly all of the sails. (At a minimum, we must derig 30 sails to move our outdoor board rack into the Lake Lab to open up space on the blacktop for dock storage.)

In the spring we'll rig everything back up, and get all of the equipment back in place for the 2025 season.

Work hours will be rewarded (see this link for the refund rates).

• Note that homecoming ends the day before (Saturday), so hopefully this will not clash.
• This is the last day of the sailing season. Any derigging left to do after this work party will most likely take place on the following weekend, weather permitting.
• If you recently obtained a heavy rating but have a gnawing conscience for contributions to stewardship, this is a good way to cleanse it.
