Lakefront Live!

Come float with us as the band - Material Boys (a Madonna bluegrass cover band) - turns the terrace stage to the lake as they play bluegrass covers of Madonna songs! Paddle craft will be distributed on a first come-first served basis and we will have a safe area for all to enjoy the float! No experience necessary!

This reservation is for a single spot on a Single or Double Kayak or Stand-up Paddleboard. Reservation will allow you to be on the boat for the entire 3 hour concert (regular 3-hour rental is $45). So take advantage of this screaming deal and don't forget to invite your friends to sign-up!  

1. Complete your reservation before arriving 
   • Payment will be required
   • A waiver will be signed
   • Review our cancellation policy
2. Arrive at the Outdoor UW Office
   • The office is located on the lower level overlooking the lakefront on the west side of the building.  
   • Additional directions and information will be sent in a confirmation email. 
   • Arrive early if you plan to change, use the bathroom, or rent a locker.  Locker rentals are available for $1 through our front desk (or at the time of your rental reservation)
3. Let's Paddle!
   • Our team will help you gear up and provide a safety orientation. 
4. Return your boat
   • Reservations are for the entirety of the event.  
   • Our staff will help you exit your boat and put away your equipment.  
   • Don't forget to visit the terrace for food and drinks after!

Participants must be over 18:
If you are signing your child up for this event, select the number of crafts you need to accommodate your party. All participants under 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian and all participants under 16 must be in the same paddlecraft as their legal guardian.

Inclement weather or water: If the weather and water conditions are unsafe for the activity we will automatically refund all reservations. No matter what the band will still be playing their set at the Union.
