HOC x We Outside Collab Day Trip

The Hoofer Outing Club has an awesome opportunity to collaborate with We Outside, a UW-Madison student coalition focused on increasing BIPOC involvement in the outdoors while celebrating relationships with nature!
This event is going to be a great first event for both the HOC and WO to start the relationship building process as two organizations on campus with very similar ethos and goals.
The day would be spent out at Peace of Mined, an amazing property in Mayville, WI that is a former mine. Here is what the schedule looks like.
8:45am- Meet in the park street circle
9:00am- Depart for Peace of Mined
10:00am-12:00pm- Hike and learn about property
12:00-1:00pm- Lunch and collaboration brainstorming sessions
1:00-2:00pm- Basic outdoor skill practice (TBD)
2:00pm- Depart Peace of Mined
3:00pm- Return to Memorial Union

- Driving or Travel Details
- We have two fleet vehicles, I will be driving one but I need someone else who is fleet certified to drive the other. If we get people who can drive personal vehicles then we can take more participants. Gas for personal vehicles will be split amongst trip participants.

- Bring your own food, snacks, and treats! Please wear shoes/boots that can handle some mud/wet trails. Please pay attention to weather/temps and wear appropriate clothing for a day outside.
