Event Information

Description

The Range of Motion Project (ROMP) is an organization with the mission to provide high-quality prosthetic care for underserved people. ROMP strongly believes that amputees are not disabled by missing a limb, but rather by missing access to proper care and a prosthesis.

This October 2nd, Hoofers Outing club is participating in an event at Devil’s lake to support ROMP’s annual climb that will be happening on the same day in different places all over the country. If you are interested in fundraising yourself, you can follow this link and click join team. If you just want to donate, you can also do this at the link. Additionally, we can spread the word through facebook, twitter, and email by either copying and pasting the link, or clicking share in the upper right corner of the page.
Please complete this survey regarding cars when you sign up so we can get a carpool started!

Additionally, we ask that everyone that signs up donates $15 to the team, either by sharing the page (link) or donating themselves.

Meet at Memorial Union at the parking circle at the end of Park st. between Memorial Union and College Library at 11am on October 2nd. Bring your own lunch and we will drive to the South Shore enterance where we will meet others for the ROMP event. Snacks will be provided. We will have different hikes you can go on, and people from the prosthesis community as well as people involved with ROMP who can talk about what they do.
