Self-Management Techniques
for Muscle Tension/Pain
This workshop will provide you with the opportunity to experience hands-on learning and practice of techniques. Information provided will include:

Clinician: Tamara North, MS, OTR
Tamara has a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy. She currently works for Ascension Wisconsin as a clinical therapist. She has experience in the following areas: Orthopedic and Neurologic Rehabilitation, Work Injury Rehabilitation, Coordinated Chronic Pain Program, and Oncology Rehabilitation Program.
Cost: $15 for HRC Members & $25 for Non-HRC Members
Location: Old Madison Room in Memorial Union on the 3rd floor

- The minimum number of participants is 10. If we have less than 10 people signed up, we may have to cancel or reschedule this event. If it is canceled, you will receive a refund. If it rescheduled, you will automatically be signed up to attend the new date.
- Driving or Travel Details
- There are two parking garages near Memorial Union that you can park in. One is under Helen C. White (College) Library with an entrance on Park st. and the other is across from the University Book Store with an entrance on Lake st.
- Equipment/ Gear Required by Participant
- Please bring a yoga mat or blanket to be used for floor exercises, a bath or beach towel suitable for rolling to be used as a head or neck rest during some exercises, a knee-length sock (nylon pantyhose will be provided if you do not have one), and a water bottle. Wear comfortable, flexible clothing; dressing in layers may be preferred as meeting rooms are not always easy to regulate to everyone's individual comfort.
