Description

Who wants to go bouldering!  Join me for a fun outing at Devil's Lake State Park, where we will tour some of the classic bouldering areas, meet new people, and learn about proper bouldering etiquette and safety.  This event is for climber of all abilities, and we will tour areas that will have something for everyone.

I will be driving a UW Fleet van and will only have space for 3 members.  For others to attend we will need volunteer drivers.  Please email me direclty if you are able to drive and can accomidate others.

We will be meeting at the Park St. circle near the west end of Memorial Union.  We will leave Madison at 9:00 am so please arrive a little early so we can leave on time.  We will arrive at Devil's Lake around 10:00 am.  We will depart around 4:00 pm and arrive back in Madison at 5:00 pm.

For those meeting us there, we will meet in the parking lot just past the North Shore visitors center.  Look for us on the left side once you drive past the visitors center window.  Please email me if you are able to drive and have space in your vehicle. 

Please pack the following: Lunch, snacks, LOTS of water, sunscreen, and your climbing shoes and chalk.  Please come prepared with proper clothing and hiking shoes.  Once the day is done we will have covered a few miles of hiking.

Driving or Travel Details
All participants will be required to show a compliant Badger Badge and must wear masks while riding in vehicles. We will be meeting at the Park St. circle near the west end of Memorial Union. Departure time will be 9:00 am so please arrive a little early so we can leave Madison on time. We will arrive at Devil's Lake around 10:00 am. We will leave Devil's lake around 4:00 pm and arrive back in Madison at 5:00 pm.

Food and Equipment Information
We will provide crash pads, but all other equipment will be individual gear. Please bring your own food and water.
Safety plan information to be shared with attendees:
Participants will be required to wear masks while traveling and during climbing event. Participants must maintain 6 feet of social distancing from those outside of household. Due to the nature of the sport, if participants are within 6 feet distance to ensure safety of climber that will be permitted.
Sanitation plan for any equipment used during the event:
Hand sanitizer will be provided for participants. Participants will use their own equipment.

Trip will be cancelled 24 hours in advance due to inclement weather.
