Hello Hoofers,
Our canoeing and kayaking activities follow a set of rules called the Water Safety Code. This code was created by club members in the 1960s and has been administrated by club members ever since; I consider it a great example of collective self-governance. The code has been revised many times, and we now have another revision in-progress.
This virtual meeting on Oct 5 is just some work-time to make progress on revisions (working together in Google Docs) while also chatting about boating.
All club members are welcome, even if you aren't a boating leader or a boater!
Please join me digitally at this Google Meet link: https://meet.google.com/dqt-yquw-vce
We will collaborate to take the existing sections of the current Water Safety Code and paste them into a new document, reorganizing according to this plan (which the Water Safety Board approved in March):https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/16V6sm0TKQ12oRA4JyHd7HgZ5V20U6soEbMn_9PbC9FU/edit#slide=id.p

Thanks,
Caroline Rose, Water Safety Chairperson
