Canoe Lake lesson

Greetings Everyone 

The weather looks nice this coming week and I would like to lead a canoe lesson. This is the rating you need to take canoes out on the Lake and to go on quiet water trips with the club  A swim test is not offered as part of the lesson but that can be obtained through the lifeguard at the swim pier, we’ll talk about that during the lesson.  

Wear shoes and clothes that can get wet just in case but we don’t plan to practice rescues or get wet  

In this lesson we will cover basic stokes, anatomy of a boat and paddle, the gear you need, checking out, our safety charts, practice on the water, lake Mendota plus more
