Description

Leave No Trace Awareness Workshop

If you enjoy camping and spending time in the outdoors with Hoofers, this workshop will get you up to date on Leave No Trace principles to help you leave the wilderness as pristine as you found it. Leave No Trace wilderness ethics serve as universal guidelines for outdoorspeople to follow in order to protect our outdoor spaces from the negative impacts that human use can create. You will learn how to travel, camp, and enjoy the woods with minimum impact. If you are a current Hoofer leader or interested in becoming a leader, this is a great opportunity to learn more about LNT so you can pass your knowledge on to others in the club. This workshop is instructed by Leave No Trace Traveling Trainers, who are experts in wilderness ethics. This event is free!
