Description

Note: Due to illness in my family (some have the flu), I really cannot be away from home for the entire day. Therefore, I need to cancel our Dells trip for Saturday. Hopefully, we can try this again in spring. I look forward to paddling together next time we gather on the water.

***Courtesy Note: If you won't make it, please remove your name immediately and no later than Wednesday morning November 1 so an alternate can have adequate time to prepare to join us.

We will be leading sea kayaks on Saturday November 4 to the upper Dells on the Wisconsin River. This is a very beautiful scenic trip along the bluffs where you can explore several side canyons, enjoy the colors of the autumn foliage, and may even see bald eagles!

Rating: SK1 rating and completed standard swim test are required. No exceptions.

Meet: We want to load kayaks at the Memorial Union boathouse at 8:00am sharp. We should be back by 5pm.

What to Bring:
Wet suit required (available through the club).

***You need to bring: Paddling jacket (wind breaker),helmet, water shoes, swim suit and shirt (NO COTTON), fleece top, lots of water, sunscreen, lunch to carry in the boat, snacks. warm dry clothes to change into, towel.

***Please bring $10 to offset the costs of gas and $2 boat use fee. We will collect these before we leave town.

Also bring some extra cash in case we grab a bite to eat on the way home. We love food! :-)

Please sign up on line. If you choose to join this trip, please make sure you let us know if you can drive and carry boats (or not) and how many of each as well as any medical concerns so we can maximize safety. We may open this up to a few more people depending on who can haul boats.
