Event Information

Description

Students taking this course must be between the ages of 10-18 and have already completed Sailing 2. This course focuses on developing students' skills to be able to sail on advanced fleets, improving their racing skills and learning how to effectively teach sailing to others. Students are introduced to flying a spinnaker, roll tacks and jibes, advanced boat handling skills and advanced sailing theory, and further developing communication and teamwork skills. The Badger Tech and 420’s are used, although students are also introduced to more advanced boats including the Lasers and Bytes, and possibly the J22/24’s or scows.

Session Fees: Parent is a UW student or Union member: $265
